Accounts Payable Specialist - 8-month Contract OpportunityRobert Half is urgently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for an exciting new opportunity. This is an 8-month contract opportunity working in downtown Toronto on a hybrid basis (1 day per week in office). If you have 3+ years of hands-on experience with Accounts Payable and are available to start working immediately then this could be the perfect role for you.Major responsibilities will include:
- Verify G/L coding and process A/P invoices, employee expenses, and credit card expense reports
- Process payments and journal entries
- Respond to and resolve internal inquiries and issues related to accounts payable
- Vendor management
- Follow up with vendors on invoice queries
- Data analysis and reporting
- Reconciliations
- Support year-end financial statement audits
- Support the team in various special projects- 3+ years of demonstrated hands-on working experience in a full-cycle Accounts Payable environment required
- Working knowledge of the Accounting cycle and provincial sales tax regulations
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, or similar
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service orientation
