Accounts Payable Clerk - Contract Opportunity located in Toronto, Ontario!Keep accounts maintained and organized as an Accounts Payable Clerk in an industry-leading company on a long-term contract opportunity through Robert Half. The Accounts Payable Clerk will update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, process expense reports, resolve A/P issues, and match, batch, and code invoices. You will be working alongside a strong staff of hard working individuals who have a team minded approach. Located fully on site in Toronto, Ontario, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a 6+ months contract opportunity with potential to extend. Apply today for immediate consideration!Key responsibilities:- Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
- Assist with internal and external audits as needed
- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
- Provide support to internal business partners
- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
- Execute additional tasks as needed
- Manage full-cycle A/P
- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department- 2-3+ years of experience in a full-cycle Accounts Payable role required
- Experience with SAP required
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
- In-depth knowledge and experience of the General Ledger
- Intermediate MS Excel
