:We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the heart of North Vancouver, British Columbia. This critical role is centered in the finance industry and requires someone adept at handling various accounting systems. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will handle a variety of responsibilities including processing invoices, reconciliations, and follow-ups. The position requires working onsite, in a manual environment, making it ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on setting.Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process purchase order (PO) invoices through 3-way matching
• Handle Non-PO processing thrice a week.
• Regularly conduct follow-ups to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle various accounting systems with proficiency.
• Act as a supportive role in the team, assisting where necessary.
• Work in a manual environment, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Navision to maintain and analyze financial data.
• Ensure the accurate coding of accounts payable and approved invoices.
• Develop a thorough understanding of accrual accounting to accurately reflect the company\'s financial status.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar.
• Proficiency in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting.
• Proven experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Reconciliations.
• Extensive knowledge of Invoice Processing, Coding Invoices, and Approved Invoices.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Navision software is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
