Accounts Payable Administrator

Job Description




We are in need of an Accounts Payable Administrator to jump in and assist our accounting department on a 2\xe2\x80\x934-month temporary basis.

Our ideal candidate will have approx. 1-2 years of experience and your main responsibilities will be to processing supplier invoices and reconciling accounts. AP experience is an asset.

This position will be located out of our Sherwood Park office. Hybrid/WFH schedule available.

What would you be doing?

  • Match invoices to receipts and purchase orders; resolve any invoice discrepancies.
  • Process Non-PO invoices; collect coding and approvals.
  • Review and authorize employee expenses
  • Respond to vendor inquires within a timely manner.
  • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
  • Prepare weekly payment batches
  • Assist with the setup for new suppliers
  • Maintain listing of accounts payable and the general ledger.
  • Reconcile payments and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Prepare bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow reports.
  • Assist in month-end working paper file preparation.
Does this sound like you?
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience with high volume processing and tight deadlines.
  • Experience with inter-company transaction considered an asset.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of payment regulations and fair credit practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organization and external clients.
