Mastercraft Starwood is a leading residential real estate developer and property management company in Ottawa and Toronto. We are looking for an Accounting Manager to collaborate work with our various properties & stakeholders. This individual must have a demonstrated background of efficiency, problem solving & is a self starter. Top applicants are proficient multitaskers, organized, and have strong coordination skills.

Reporting To: President, Mastercraft Starwood
Dotted Reporting Line: Director of Finance & Operations, Ottawa

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and monthly cash flow
• Review and prepare financial statements for corporations, trusts, limited partnerships
• Responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, preparation of annual operating budgets, acquisition analysis, review of financial statements
• Support MMC\xe2\x80\x99s various properties & take leadership in completing various tasks to support MMC\xe2\x80\x99s overall profitability
• Review/prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Review GL and journal entries
• Attend monthly budget review meetings with third party property managers and condo managers
• Financial analysis of new development opportunities
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and arranging disbursements.
• Assist with audits and tax preparations
• Document financial transactions and prepare journal entries accordingly
• Other duties and projects as assigned by the President or Director of Finance

Required Skills/ Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience (preferably with a CA/CPA designation)
• Experience in real estate/property management is preferred
• In depth knowledge in using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
• Detail oriented
• Self-starter
• Able to stay organized in a fast paced environment
• Able to handle tight deadlines
