We are in the concrete and construction tools and supplies business. We sell primarily to contractors big and small, and a smaller portion of the business coming from the homeowner, DIY market.
We are looking for a motivated individual to work in our accounting department that wants to contribute to the company's success, is truly a team player, and holds a positive work environment in high regard for him/herself and others.
This is a part time position that would take 20 hours a week to start. We are not looking for a contractor, but a part-time permanent position.
The ideal candidate would possess the following skill sets.
-Ability to stay highly organized while working on various administrative tasks
-Experience and understanding of technical aspects of bookkeeping and accounting
-Must have experience with bookkeeping software like QuickBooks-Above average competency in Microsoft office
-Payroll experience with hourly and salaried employees
-AP and AR experience and skill sets
-Written and verbal communication with inside and outside stakeholders
-Completing deposits
-Invoicing
-Producing weekly sales reports
-Issuing customer statements
-Reconciling vendor statements
-General admin duties and/or other accounting functions as required
-HR experience an asset

relationships with vendor accounting departments, customers, and suppliers.
-Willingness to jump in and help in other areas when needed.
