If you are a talented and experienced CPA with year-end audit preparation experience, David Aplin Group has the right opportunity for you! Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with David Aplin Group to hire a couple of strong accountants to assist with preparing for year-end. This company has grown rapidly during the year. The estimated contract duration is 3 months with the possibility of extension and other projects.
Our client is based in Edmonton but this role can be done remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing lead sheets and supporting working papers. Determining what level and kind of support is needed based on PBC requests from external auditors
- Reconciling general ledger accounts and investigating outstanding items
- Preparing meaningful variance analysis
- Preparing IFRS financial statements
- Ensuring internal controls over financial reporting are operating effectively
- Are experienced (up to Director level) CPAs with public practice or year-end industry experience
- Have strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, sumif)
- Have a good experience with a variety of ERP systems
- Are self-starters who can work independently
