**IMMEDIATE HIRE****MUST RESIDE IN CANADA****INHOUSE**Were looking for an organized and driven Certified Accountant to join our growing team at our company. A person who likes a challenge and has ambition to continuously change and grow to improve. A person who has worked in the Canadian Tax system for minimum the past 5 years. The accountant will work with the accounting personnel and other department managers to improve procedures and day to day bookkeeping and operations.Were an energetic growing company and are looking for a passionate individual to join our organization and be part of our success. This is a continuously growing field and is geared towards health and fitness.Accountant responsibilities and duties:

• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, GST/QST reports, payroll and coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports.
• Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management
• Perform day to day bookkeeping operations
• Perform all Payroll duties
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
• Oversee taxes and abide by government regulations
• Negotiate Renewals of yearly contracts
• Oversee all accounting staff and work closely with other department managers
• Hire, train and evaluate staff
• Work closely with colleagues in other departments to ensure accounting objectives are met

Accountant Qualifications and Skills:

• CA or CPA Designation is preferred
• Salary listed is based on person having a designation and their experience
• Solid accounting background
• Solid experience of Canadian Accounting Laws and Regulations
• Knowledgeable in technology with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge of Foreign Exchange
• Experience in dealing with multi-companies
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ease in dealing with government bodies
• Enjoys working in fast-paced environment
• Reliable and dependable
