Our client, an established and continually growing player in the technology industry, is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join their team. • Review and post vendor invoices and employee expenses
• Process credit checks for new customers
• Prepare weekly cash projections
• Update and maintain monthly reconciliation and tracking reports
• Review and post weekly employee timesheets
• Prepare monthly GST/HST, QST, and provincial sales tax returns
• Monitor customer payments and follow up on payments
• Month-end closing
• Provide training, support and mentorship to junior staff
• Perform ad hoc projects as required

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Post-secondary education in accounting is preferred or other equivalent training/career experience
• Strong preference will be given to applicants currently pursuing their CPA designation
• 3 xe2x80x93 5 yearsxe2x80x99 of progressive accounting experience
• Excellent analytical, Excel and problem-solving skills;
• Strong financial management skills with a sound knowledge of accounting practices and principles; knowledge of tax regulations is a definite asset
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and self-motivated
• Be able to work in a team and independently
• Ability to multi-task, bring fresh ideas, strategies and tools to the table to maximize the teamxe2x80x99s performance
