Job #4800 - Our client is looking for a highly dependable and well-organized accountant to join their organization in a contract capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of general accounting duties as you support the finance team with shifting priorities. The successful candidate will have a strong accounting foundation and will use their initiative daily to help support a high-volume finance department. The main responsibilities include:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Match revenue with donations
Prepare payments for EFT/Wire/cheques/credit card requisitions
Manage and process cash deposits
Perform banking entries and communicate with the bank representatives on any issues
Process employee reimbursements
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Provide financial support and other duties as required

Formal Accounting Education
Minimum of 4 years of full cycle accounting experience, including preparing financial statements
Excellent English communication, written & verbal
Definite Assets (nice to have):
Completed CPA designation (or in the process of obtaining one)
Experience with non-profit accounting standards
Microsoft Business Central, Financial Edge, Raisers Edge software programs
