Job #4800 - Our client is looking for a highly dependable and well-organized accountant to join their organization in a contract capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of general accounting duties as you support the finance team with shifting priorities. The successful candidate will have a strong accounting foundation and will use their initiative daily to help support a high-volume finance department. The main responsibilities include:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Match revenue with donations
• Prepare payments for EFT/Wire/cheques/credit card requisitions
• Manage and process cash deposits
• Perform banking entries and communicate with the bank representatives on any issues
• Process employee reimbursements
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Provide financial support and other duties as required

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Formal Accounting Education
• Minimum of 4 years of full cycle accounting experience, including preparing financial statements
• Excellent English communication, written & verbal

Definite Assets (nice to have):

• Completed CPA designation (or in the process of obtaining one)
• Experience with non-profit accounting standards
• Microsoft Business Central, Financial Edge, Raisers Edge software programs
