Job #4594 - Our client is looking for a well-organized and dynamic Accountant to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis! In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations including the month-end close process. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of accounting principles and must not be afraid to roll up their sleeves and think outside the box. Reporting to the VP, Finance, main responsibilities include:

• Assist with month-end close procedures
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist with preparation of monthly rent rolls and related reconciliations
• Assist with annual operating budgets
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare bi-weekly payroll runs
• Improve processes and procedures
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Post-secondary education in accounting of finance
• Minimum 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written
• Proficient in Excel
• Experience with QuickBooks is an asset
