Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team at Eagle Freight System. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting our operations with your expertise in accounting practices. This position is crucial for maintaining our financial integrity and supporting our mission to provide top-class logistics services.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including driver Payroll , accounts payable and receivable. Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial statements. Prepare financial reports for management review and decision-making. Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Conduct financial audits to ensure adherence to standards and policies. Utilize accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Sage, or Xero for efficient record-keeping. Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role in the transportation or logistics industry. Strong knowledge of corporate finance principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero) is an asset. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
