In this role, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This permanent role is for an Accountant in the Markham, Ontario, area.What you get to do every single day- Manually or electronically post financial information- Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance- Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources- Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned- Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing- Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required- Accurately code documents with expenditure codes and accounting codes- Handle general accounting tasks: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work- 3+ years of accounting experience required- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred- Deep understanding of Sage 300- QuickBooks experience preferred- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred- Data entry experience- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)Robert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
