Accountant Responsibilities
Prepare prompt and accurate financial information and various reconciliations.
Analyze and review financial information for reasonableness.
Prepare financial statements
Assemble bank reconciliation and account schedule
Prepare journal entries, expense accruals and allocations
Participate in a timely and accurate month-end closing process
Analyze income statements fluctuations
Provide process improvement and cost saving ideas
Managing financial records, assist in financial reporting
Support budgeting and forecasting
Conduct audits and ensure compliance
Accountant QualificationsPost-secondary education in Commerce/Business with a major in accounting
Professional designation completed or in progress
Proficient in accounting and/or auditing and strong understanding of accounting principles
Advanced knowledge in using spreadsheet programs, i.e. Excel
Proficiency in using accounting software programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven commitment to personal growth and development
Strong time management and ability to multitask.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Highly organized and efficient
