to join our Finance team and help us strengthen our financial processes and support strategic decision-making.

Position Summary:

As an

Accountant

, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting budget and forecast activities, and contributing to financial reporting. This is a hands-on role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure timely and accurate financial transaction recording Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end and year-end closings Generate financial statements and reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows) Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions Assist with budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis Manage accounts payable and receivable processes Ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations and support audit activities Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and systems Collaborate with warehouse operations to track inventory and monitor costs Work closely with the Finance Manager and other departments to align financial goals with business objectives

Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or financial management Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment is an asset Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and budgeting practices Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
