Job Summary:We are seeking a Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with expertise in account reconciliation, tax returns and proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Tax prep.Responsibilities:-Preparation of corporate year end working papers, financial statements and tax returns, review of year end files, compliance assurance and government reporting (i.e. quarterly GST remittances and payroll)- Supervising the preparation of financial statements and tax returns of business clients, reviewing the work of staff accountants, and completing complex portions of the file- Preparing complete bookkeeping file (Data Entry, Account coding and Account Reconciliation)- Preparing T4s, T5s, personal income tax returns, and other tax returns and schedules, as requiredExperience:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification preferred- Proven work experience minimum 3 years as a Accountant or in a similar role- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Tax prep and Caseware- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamJoin our team as a Certified Public Accountant and contribute your expertise to our financial success.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:
