Junior Accountant

to join our Corporate Finance Team.

What you will do:

The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-orientated, and have great time management skills. You will support full-cycle accounting duties and monthly reporting needs.

Some specific duties and tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

Process accounts payable/accounts receivable (AP/AR) transactions Review and monitor expenses Assist with monthly closing procedures Reconcile monthly inter-company AP/AR balances and perform bank reconciliations Process payroll entries Contact vendors/clients regarding inquiries and confirmation of balances/payments Perform monthly GST reconciliations and assist with filings Accurately record inventory purchases and reconcile with record of materials on hand Perform inventory audits and assist with inventory controls Create/write/deposit cheques and process other payment methods Assist in the preparation of financial statements and financial reporting documents

What you will need to be successful:

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting Highly analytical and motivated Self-directed with demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and in a team Proficient in MS Office

Preferred:

1+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance roles Pursuing the CPA Previous experience with accounting software is an asset (Sage, Quickbooks, etc.) Fluency in Mandarin
