About the Position
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports.
- Process month-end close and general ledger reconciliations.
- Handle inventory and fixed asset accounting, including reconciliations and depreciation.
- Complete bank reconciliations in multiple currencies and conduct variance analysis and explain financial performance.
- Support financial reporting for management and the Board.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with audits and prepare the required documentation.
- File sales tax returns and regulatory reports.
- Use JD Edwards and Cognos for accounting and reporting tasks.
- Work on ad hoc projects as needed.
- 4+ years of accounting experience.
- Pursuing or Designated CPA
- Public practice or manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Salary: $75,000 to $85,000
- 3 weeks vacation
