Position: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Waterloo (on-site 5 days a week)
Salary: $45,000
Job Type: Permanent full-timeWe are looking for an organized, efficient Accounts Payable Clerk with an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy. Accounting Clerks can expect to handle communications with vendors, clients and internal departments, assist with audit and streamlining of the A/P process, preparing payments and accounts payable invoices.
Job Duties:
- Prepare accounts payable invoices which includes verification of data and data entry in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare payments and corresponding reports
- Review and reconcile vendor statements
- Assist with audit support as necessary
- Assist in streamlining the accounts payable process
- Work with internal departments to research and resolve discrepancies and account issues when necessary
- Abide by all company procedures and accounting principles
- Respond appropriately to a vendor, clients and internal requests
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- At least 2 years of work experience in an A/P role
- Basic knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
- Computer literacy and strong typing skills, experience with accounting software (Word, Excel, Outlook are required, SAP would be an asset)
- Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information
- High level of accuracy and efficiency and high attention to detail, able to handle large volumes
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Courteous, professional manner
