***Accounts Payable Clerk - Temporary 3 Month Contract - Up to $30/hr***

Burnaby Location - 100% In-Office

Well-established and growing Downtown Vancouver real estate/development company is currently looking for a an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. This is a great organization, with a great culture, in a dynamic industry.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience in processing AP functions
Attention to detail
Multi-tasking abilities
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, V-Lookups
Excellent time management and organization skill

Primary duties:

  • Pay vendors according to payment schedule, while:
o monitoring discount opportunities;
o verifying taxes and account numbers;
o scheduling and preparing cheques, wires and EFTs;
o taking ownership in resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation;
o ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos;
o issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Allocate and post expenses to accounts and classes by analyzing invoices.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a customer focused manner.
  • Review, verify, post and pay employee expense reports.
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
  • Reconcile monthly vendor accounts, statements and related transactions.
