Salary Range: As per CBA Closing Date: February 21, 2025 Start Date: September 4, 2025


Other Information: We are currently looking for K-12 music/band teachers.

Responsibilities:

• Teaches skills in music to understand/appreciate, harmony, and explorations in music to elementary pupils
• Plans and executes a balanced music program and organizes class time so that preparation, rehearsal, and

instruction can be accomplished within the allotted time
• Provides individual and small group instruction to adapt the music curriculum to the needs of each pupil
• Prepares students for school concerts and plans music experiences

Qualifications: • Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
• Fluency in both official languages French & English - written and oral fluency is considered an asset
• Orff Training would be considered an asset
• Previous experience teaching Music and Band
• Must have excellent organizational and classroom skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively with students and parents
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of the required curriculum
• Familiarity with the Manitoba document titled "Independent Together"
• Previous experience in an environment with EAL students and students with special needs
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers and related software applications



As a condition of employment, all new hires must complete a satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable sector search,


and child abuse registry check as part of the hiring process.




Salary & benefits for this position will be administered in accordance with the SRSD/SRTA collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
