Construction Project Coordinator
This position supports the inside build frontline technicians and contractors, who are responsible for installing telecommunications equipment in our central offices. We turn cutting edge vision into tangible new services for our customers. As a Construction Project Coordinator (CPC) your main responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with the Inside Plant Engineering
  • Liaise with stakeholders such as Project Management and Planning
  • Support partner builds
  • Remove roadblocks
Must have's:
  • Own your own vehicle (ideally a truck to move equipment to construction sites)
  • Reside in the location applied for (will be half in office half in warehouse, some delivering equipment to construction sites)
  • Must be able to physically lift equipment up to 50lbs

In this role, you will be using your strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with contractors, technicians, internal ops teams and subject matter experts to support pre and post build quality inspections for both internal teams and external vendor teams. Your excellent communication skills and ability to collaboration with our upstream stakeholders will ensure a smooth and timely build.

You're the missing piece of the puzzle
  • Any telco or technical experience is a requirement; Inside Plant Build experience is an asset
  • Working knowledge of network architecture inside and outside plant facilities, provisioning, testing, repair, use of tools and technology, color code recognition; any telco or technical experience is an asset
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, self-motivated, take ownership of an area of operations, and identify issues
  • A Bias for Action - the ability to not only plan and delegate, but take the initiative to ensure that actions and projects are on track
  • A proven ability to work within teams in a constructive, cooperative and respectful manner
  • A proven ability to deal effectively with safety and operational issues
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Sound Analytical Skills - and the ability to use these skills to support various business decisions or proposals
  • Class 5 driver's license
  • Travel within AB will be required, Edmonton candidate will cover primarily northern half of AB. Calgary candidate will cover primarily Southern half of AB
Great-to-haves
  • Previous project management experience is an asset
  • Any telco or technical experience is a requirement
  • Diploma/degree in Management/Business or related Technology (or equivalent experience) is an asset
