Company descriptionWinnipeg Minor Dodgeball has been around since 2017, providing affordable, safe, and inclusive activity to youth in Winnipeg. We have a staff of coaches with a variety of experiences with youth and sports programs. Our program allows youth to gain social and team-building skills to help their growth as individuals. We manage around 200+ youth athletes a year and provide physical activity to surrounding areas in Winnipeg.Job descriptionCoaching duties: -Ensure a safe environment for the players and staff.-Leading the warm-up or drills.-Make sure children understand drills, games, and scrimmage. This includes knowing the basic rules of dodgeball.-Ensure children are listening or paying attention during clarification of activities.-Encouragement, positive reinforcement, and cheering of children when they are making an effort. (eg. Following rules, calling themselves out, simply throwing and making it to the wall, blocks, etc...)-Clarify anything that a child might not understand or guidance in the correct way of performing a certain technique.Other various duties: -Ensuring attendance is completed before each session.-Help tape up/remove lines.-Arrange benches between courts.-Referee during the scrimmage.-Gather balls in between drills, games, and scrimmage.-Distribute pinnies to the children.-Directing participants into the gym and directing them to exit the gym.-Cleaning balls with disinfectants.Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 7-8 months
Part-time hours: 2-9 per weekSalary: From $15.00 per hourSchedule:

• Evening shift
• Weekend availability

• We will have sessions on Mondays 6:00pm-8:30pm, Wednesday 6:00pm-8:30pm, Thursdays 6:00pm-8:30pm, and Saturdays 2pm-4pm. Will you be able to attend at least two of these dates/times?
