Yard Supervisor
Job Description
```Duties```
- Oversee and manage daily operations in the yard
- Coordinate and assign tasks to yard workers
- Ensure efficient and safe movement of materials within the yard
- Supervise loading and unloading of trucks and trailers
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Inspect equipment and vehicles for safety and functionality
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures
- Train new employees on yard operations and equipment usage ```Skills```
- Experience operating order pickers, forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems to track inventory
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
