Conform Works Inc. is a family-owned and operated concrete formwork company with over 25 years of experience in Calgary and surrounding areas. We focus in structural concrete for light civil and high-rise construction, and are known for our hands-on leadership, safety-first culture, and operational efficiency. As our operations grow, we're looking for a dependable and experienced Yard Manager to take ownership of all yard-related tasks and help support our evolving logistics systems.

Position Overview

The Yard Manager is responsible for organizing and executing the day-to-day operations of the construction yard. This includes preparing orders for job sites, loading and unloading trailers, maintaining equipment, managing consumables, and helping to implement and maintain a new digital inventory and asset tracking system. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping the yard clean, efficient, and ready to support the field.

Key Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks and trailers with tools, materials, and equipment Organize the yard layout to ensure safety, cleanliness, and efficient access Prepare and stage outgoing orders; receive and sort incoming equipment and materials Maintain stock levels of consumables and coordinate restocking when needed Perform basic maintenance and inspections of tools, yard equipment, and trailers Assist in setting up and maintaining a digital system for tool and equipment tracking (including tagging, organizing, and data entry) Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory Coordinate effectively with drivers and field teams to ensure timely pickups and returns Follow all safety procedures and best practices for yard operations and transportation
Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction yard, warehouse, or similar environment Material Handler (ZoomBoom) experience is required (valid certification preferred) Must be physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs in all weather conditions Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience with gooseneck trailers and load securement is strongly preferred Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract (Class 3 or 1 is an asset) Comfortable using or learning digital tools for tracking inventory Proactive, dependable, and safety-conscious
Schedule

Full-time weekday schedule with opportunities for overtime

Extended hours or weekend work may be required based on operational needs
