The company has approximately 100 personnel members and the executive team manages a significant labour force including the use of up to 400 sub-contractors to fulfill project work. Historically the company has done work across Canada, but its primary market is the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.

Yard Manager Profile



The Yard Manager reports to the CEO and is responsible for the overall management of the yard and yard personnel (including labourers, drivers, foreman, carpenters), ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and safe operations within the Yard.

This role works collaboratively with several divisions and leaders within the company including the Pumping Team, Crane Manager and the project Site Superintendents.

This role is accountable for:



Logistics, maintenance, repair, and storage of yard equipment, tools, and materials and efficient delivery of equipment and supplies to project sites

Pre-Fabrication of formwork for project sites

Allocation and tracking for all company owned production and formwork equipment

Collection and transportation of all company owned or rented production equipment

Education and training of yard personnel regarding proper procedures and safe use of equipment, tools, and materials

Manage the performance of all Yard personnel and inventory activities

Maintenance of a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for all personnel within the yard

The successful Yard Manager candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:



Minimum 5 years of construction formwork industry experience

Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership position

Proven, effective leadership, time management and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of and experience with Doka and Peri equipment and systems

Carpentry skills and the ability to interpret drawings for formwork construction

Previous experience with HILTI On-track or similar equipment management software

Proficiency in MS suite of tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, MS365, and OneDrive, SharePoint and Bluebeam

Ability to prioritize and have a sense of urgency to meet the expected and unexpected demands of the various project operations

Critical thinking and sound judgement in all situations

Team player with a collaborative agenda

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Effective written and verbal English communications skills

Resilient with a positive attitude under pressure

Professional and safety-conscious attitude

Diligent work ethic and takes initiative

Ability to lead a dynamic and diverse workforce

Ability to understand and manage departmental budgets

Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the organization, including some overtime, weekends, and attending evening/weekend events as needed

Valid BC Driver's License with a satisfactory driver abstract

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $85,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
