Position Title: Yard & Fleet Operations Coordinator



Position Summary:


The Yard & Fleet Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily fleet operations, yard management, and driver support activities. This role ensures that vehicles, equipment, and facilities are maintained in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements, while providing operational support to drivers, customers, and management as needed.

Key Responsibilities:



Fleet & Vehicle Support



Transport company trucks to and from repair shops for maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance (PM). Prepare trucks to meet tow truck licensing and renewal requirements. Perform truck sign-in and sign-out procedures and maintain accurate records. Assist with road testing and onboarding of new drivers. Support training activities for new drivers. Monitor towing equipment inventory and report shortages or damages.

Yard Operations & Monitoring



Conduct regular yard inspections to ensure safety, organization, and compliance. Monitor vehicles stored in the yard and track available storage spaces. Assist Pound Officers when required. Assist customers when needed in a professional and courteous manner. Ensure open windows on newer vehicles are properly covered to prevent water damage. Remove debris, garbage, or vehicle parts that may pose a safety or damage risk. Monitor fence lines and report any unauthorized access or security concerns.

Logistics & Errands



Pick up vehicle parts, supplies, and equipment as required. Collect and deliver supplies between the yard and the downtown office. Purchase office supplies when requested. Attend Ministry-related appointments and trips as required.

Facility & Yard Maintenance



Perform general yard maintenance, including grass cutting and weed control. Ensure the yard and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Qualifications:



Valid driver's license with clean record Valid Tow Truck Operator Certificate (Ontario) Strong organizational skills and safety awareness Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic mechanical knowledge (asset)
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
