The Position. Bercon Rentals Inc. is offering an excellent opportunity for a Yard Associate - 6 Months Contract: General Laborer/Wash Pad Attendant reporting to the Shop Foreman who is ready to grow their career with the leading company in the industry. To continue our tremendous success and unparalleled growth, we are searching for a qualified and ambitious individual to perform a variety of manual tasks to ensure smooth branch operation. Your primary objective will be to provide labor assistance to service technicians, sales staff and other branch personnel engaged in meeting the needs of customers. Your strong work ethic, reliability and positive attitude will make you an asset to our branch and entire organization.

Main duties of the position include (but are not limited to):

• Washing and detailing both the exterior and interior of rental equipment
• Maintain shop, yard, wash bay and power washer stations organization and cleanliness
• Picking up or delivering parts when required
• Dispose all shop garbage including cardboard and steel including yard debris in appropriate bins
• Snow removal and required salting in yard and building walkways
• Other duties as required

Qualifications or Skills Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Eagerness to learn
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and strong teamwork skills
• Attention to safety
• Open to working flexible hours and extending the contract if necessary to accommodate the company's needs. The company will review this for potential contract extension if required
• Mechanically inclined will be an asset
• Comfortable in working with machines
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors all-weather conditions
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
• A valid G driver's license
• Proficient in MS Office
• Past experience car and truck detailing preferred
• Equipment experience preferred e.g. forklift, rough terrain forklift, aerial work platform (AWP).
