About the Role

MAGCOR is seeking a

Working Foreman

for a 12-month contract to lead our field operations. We need a hands-on leader who can physically work alongside the crew, manage the logistics of tools and inventory, and ensure projects stay on schedule.

You will act as the vital link between the office and the job site. This means you must be comfortable operating power tools and equipment one minute, and discussing project strategy in an office meeting the next.

Core Responsibilities

Hands-on Execution:

Physically work on-site daily, using power tools and equipment to drive the project forward. You set the pace and standard for the crew.

High-Level Communication:

You are the central hub of information. You must communicate with the crew and management

daily

. We value candidates who understand that clear, timely updates prevent costly mistakes.

Problem Solving:

Construction is unpredictable. When issues arise, we need someone who can assess the situation, implement a solution immediately, and keep the project moving without waiting to be told what to do.

Logistics & Fleet:

Take full responsibility for loading and unloading vans/trucks. Ensure the right tools and materials are on the right site at the right time.

Inventory Control:

Strict management of tool tracking and consumables. You are accountable for preventing loss and ensuring the crew has what they need.

Accountability:

Enforce safety (OHSA compliance) and quality standards. You are responsible for the conduct and performance of your crew.

Requirements

License:

Valid Ontario G Driver's License is mandatory.

Experience:

Proven experience in construction, demolition, or general labor with a track record of running a crew.

Communication Skills:

Must be articulate, professional, and understand the value of constant communication. You will be required to attend office and site meetings regularly.

Physical Fitness:

Able to lift heavy materials, load trucks, and perform manual labor for the duration of the shift.

Assets (Preferred but not required)

Heavy Equipment:

Experience operating machinery (Skid Steer, Excavator, etc.) is a major help and a strong asset.

Personal Vehicle:

Ownership of a reliable personal vehicle is strongly preferred for flexibility.

Safety Training:

Working at Heights, WHMIS, or First Aid certification.

Full-time hours. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on project deadlines.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
