Job Summary
This position performs highly responsible clerical work of a confidential/highly sensitive nature in support of the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP).

The Word Processing Equipment Operator (WPEO) manages appointments for EFAP coordinators, responds to employee calls and emails, and fields and responds to routine telephone inquiries. The WPEO orders supplies, answers inquiries about departmental services and functions, distributes EFAP materials upon request and updates the EFAP website as needed. The WPEO maintains, as required, the EFAP Database which includes, but is not limited to, invoice vendor data entry, arranging payment via Accounts Payable and updating and inputting data on new and existing service providers. The WPEO keeps track of tender contracts and expiry dates. The WPEO oversees the invoicing and data monitoring for the EFAP and Smoking Cessation Program. This position oversees monthly statistical information and creates quarterly reports in addition to compiling program evaluations to create a yearly EFAP evaluation report. Other related duties, as required/appropriate.

Regularly required to perform fine finger/precision work while sitting and using a computer mouse to send and respond to emails or work on documents.
Visual concentration is required while transcribing, entering or formatting text/data.
Auditory concentration is regularly required when performing reception duties or answering the telephone. May experience frequent interruptions from public/clients.
Exact results and precision is constantly required when entering data/text, maintaining files and completing statistical reports.
Occasionally experience time pressures/deadlines.

Job Qualifications
Successful completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.

*Proof of a current office administration program is required. To be considered current, they must have been completed within the last five years, unless it has been used in recent positions. This must be demonstrated on the application form.
