Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Woodworker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and related trades, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on a variety of projects including cabinetry, restoration, framing, and custom woodwork. The Woodworker will contribute to high-quality craftsmanship in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring projects meet specifications and safety standards.

Duties



Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute woodworking projects. Construct, install, and repair cabinetry, furniture, framing, flooring, siding, roofing components, and other wood structures. Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other woodworking equipment safely and efficiently. Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, tile laying, and flooring installation as needed for various projects. Assist with restoration projects by repairing or refurbishing existing wood structures. Measure materials precisely using construction estimating techniques to ensure proper fit and finish. Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and locks on cabinets or furniture pieces. Conduct finishing tasks including sanding, staining, painting, caulking, and sealing to achieve desired aesthetics. Collaborate with team members on project planning and execution to meet deadlines and quality standards. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal.

Qualifications



Proven experience in carpentry, woodworking, or construction-related fields; maintenance person experience is a plus. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and other woodworking machinery. Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry techniques, tile laying, flooring installation, siding installation, roofing components, rebar installation, electrical experience, plumbing basics, and construction estimating is desirable. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and the use of power tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for precise craftsmanship. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and work effectively in physically demanding environments. Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
