We are presently searching for our next great team member as a

Lift Operations Supervisor

to join our Alpine Operations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.

Position Overview:


We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Lift Operations Supervisor. This seasonal role is critical for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our lift services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lift operations, team supervision, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

Assign daily duties to lift operators and ensure proper execution Prepare and submit detailed operation and progress reports for management Train and supervise lift operators, ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC and Technical Safety BC standards Investigate incidents and submit required Technical Safety BC forms Perform general labor tasks, including snow removal, maintenance, grooming, and carrying equipment weighing over 40 lbs Assist and coordinate parking operations Oversee the daily setup and takedown of lifts Establish and maintain health and safety procedures for lift operators Perform lift operator and maintenance worker duties as needed

Qualifications:

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Minimum of 2 years' experience with passenger ropeways preferred At least 2 years of supervisory experience, ideally overseeing a team of 20-30 members Strong customer service skills with the ability to empathize with guests' needs Capability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team Knowledge of Manning Park and the surrounding area, or a willingness to learn Ability to answer guests' questions about the resort, provide ski run recommendations, and offer general advice Intermediate to advance riding ability preferred - ability to ride in any snow conditions and weather Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment Completion of Lift 150 training course from SELKIRK College is an asset Experience operating snowmobiles and/or ATVs is an asset Ski Resort Management certification is an asset OFA Level 3 or equivalent certification is an asset

Additional Information:

This is a seasonal position, requiring a commitment for the full winter season (mid November through early April - exact dates TBD) There is potential for this role to become a year-round permanent position for the right candidate
