Please note:

This posting is for a 4-month Winter 2026 Student placement with a start date of January 2026 and end date of April 2026. In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of April 2026 ; or If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in December 2025 or April 2026), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?




The Commercial Channels Insights & Analytics team enables use of data in strategic decision making, measures / monitors key initiative impact, leads process automation / optimization, optimizes the use of available tools to allow for effective data presentation and visualization and executes ad-hock data-related requests. Commercial Clients Insights & Analytics Intern will contribute to this mandate, responsible for supporting and conducting analysis, design, and implementation of data solutions, leveraging RBC's enterprise suite of analytical tools.

What will you do?



Support and conduct analysis, design, and implementation of data solutions, leveraging RBC's enterprise suite of analytical tools Support with defining / implementing data governance, security, and integrity / accuracy of data in model development Support with the implementation and maintenance of models Build, maintain and support the presentation of data in a logical, user-friendly manner tailored to the audience Build relationships and collaborate with the Commercial Channels Insights & Analytics team and other key business partners

What do you need to succeed?



Must have:



Experience building automated solutions using different tools combined (Python, SQL, Excel, Tableau, Alteryx) Ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data, and to translate technical data findings into clear business friendly insights; Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Interest in the financial services industry and client interaction with RBC

Nice-to-have



Business Intelligence and Visualization tools experience (Datameer, PowerBI) Familiarity with range of data tools (Big Data Tools, Datameer, Teradata, SQL); Experience with data manipulation with Python ecosystem (Pandas, Numpy, PySpark, etc.)
