is an ultra-premium winery with 150 acres of vineyards in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. We are looking for experienced wine consultants to join our growing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
Greet and welcome every guest with a warm, positive, and professional demeanor, creating an inviting atmosphere.
Conduct engaging, informative, and high-quality wine tastings, tailoring the experience to guests' interests and knowledge levels.
Share the story of the vineyard, its history, winemaking philosophy, and unique terroir to create a deeper connection between guests and the wines.
Actively promote and upsell wines, wine club memberships, and other winery offerings by confidently sharing product knowledge and benefits.
Assist guests in the boutique by providing personalized recommendations, answering questions, and facilitating purchases.
Process transactions efficiently, including cash and credit card payments, while ensuring accuracy in handling sales, discounts, and promotions.
Maintain an organized and well-stocked boutique, assisting with restocking shelves and merchandising displays where necessary.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations, assisting in all retail areas as needed.
Support the winery's service standards by maintaining a clean, polished, and professional work environment.
Stay up to date on winery offerings, promotions, and events to proactively share information with guests and enhance their experience.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and responsible service guidelines to ensure compliance with licensing and safety regulations.
WE WILL INTERVIEW:
Someone with proven experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, high-end retail, or an equivalent setting, where exceptional guest service and attention to detail are key.
Someone who is confident in sales, comfortable recommending products, upselling wine club memberships, and proactively identifying guest needs to maximize revenue.
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to multitask seamlessly while maintaining a polished and professional presence.
Someone who takes direction well and values constructive feedback, continuously seeking opportunities to improve and refine their skills.
Someone with a strong sense of ownership and pride in their work, committed to maintaining high service standards, a clean and elegant environment, and contributing to the team's success.
Someone with outstanding verbal communication skills, who can engage guests with warmth, enthusiasm, and deep product knowledge, while thinking on their feet.
Someone who is adaptable and a team player, willing to assist with various retail and tasting room duties, from stocking shelves to supporting colleagues during peak times.
Someone who is comfortable with a POS system and transactions, able to work weekends and holidays, stand for extended periods, and has reliable transportation.
Someone who is 19 years of age or older and has, or is willing to obtain, Smart Serve Certification to ensure responsible alcohol service.
What We're Looking For:
Training in wine education - college diploma or combination WSET, ISG, CAPS an asset
Knowledge of the Ontario wine industry and regions an asset
Wine / hospitality / restaurant experience
Smart Serve Certification
2 years of experience in hospitality, tourism, hotel, or retail environment
Strong communication skills with an enthusiastic attitude
Open and flexible for all shifts including evenings and weekends for the duration of the season
Must be able to meet the physical requirements including standing for extended periods of time, navigating stairs and lift and carrying up to 40lbs
Enthusiasm to increase wine knowledge
Bilingual an asset
