Come be part of the Upstream Production Operations Department of ExxonMobil Canada Energy. Our offices are located on the East Coast of Canada in St. John\'s, Newfoundland with a workforce of nearly 250 people and two world class offshore production assets.

What role you will play in our team

ExxonMobil is currently Seeking new graduate engineering technologists to Drilling, Completions and Wellwork operations in Eastern Canada. The successful applicant will rotate to one of two world-class offshore facilities (Hibernia and/or Hebron), and will be working alongside some of the most talented Operations Supervisors in the industry.

What you will do

  • Work as part of a Wells Team with engineering staff and materials & contracting personnel to implement the drilling/completion/wellwork well design.
  • Travel to well sites to help supervise drilling/workover/completion work being conducted.
  • Analyze and communicate ongoing well-related operations performance and events while participating in the Wells Team efforts to correct and improve performance.
  • Organize and prioritize well site activities with a focus on safety, operations integrity, and continuous improvement.
About you

Skills and Qualifications
  • Recent graduate with a Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology from College of the North Atlantic (or equivalent 3year program). Recent graduate is defined as Graduate within the past 3 years (Spring 2024 graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Strong commitment to safety both on and off the job
  • Basic knowledge of math and science (i.e. technical knowledge of hydraulics, fluid flow, fluid mechanics, mechanical design and materials engineering).
  • Problem-solving skills, analytical ability and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office application
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
  • Previous petroleum industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential.
  • Strong leadership qualities consistent with the ExxonMobil Leadership Framework
  • Initiative, independence and accountability for tasks
