Working under the direction of the Manager, Aftercare and Healing and in collaboration with the Elder Support Coordinator, Cultural Coordinator and Language, Education and Youth Coordinator, the Wellness Coordinator will provide leadership for a comprehensive wellness program for Salt River First Nation and the community.
Duties/Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Manager, develops and leads a comprehensive wellness program.
Coordinates, plans, and facilitates wellness activities and programs for the community.
Plans and implements classes, speakers, seminars, that promote healthy lifestyles.
Develops promotion and publicity plans for wellness programs.
Compiles statistical summaries of participant data, class attendance, and equipment inventories to ensure proper detailed program evaluation.
Assists the Manager and COO in the development of budget, policies, and procedures relevant to the operation of the wellness program.
Provides educational presentations and training programs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work cooperatively with people at all ages and levels with respect.
Able to implement programs to comply with SRFN policies.
Class 5 driver's license is required.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field preferred.
Five or more years of experience in wellness program development and implementation.
Experience in developing and monitoring program budgets.
Experience in evaluating and reporting on programs.
Equivalencies in education and experience may be considered.
This is a position of Trust and a current Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector clearance will be required upon hiring. Failure to provide a clear criminal record check will result in cancellation of the Employment Agreement.

Pay: $75,000.00-$84,000.00 per year
