Job Overview

We are seeking a laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge. This role involves steel room duties and will work closely with other team members and customers to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Ordering steel and inventory control Receive & rack steel orders Assist loading customer's steel Interpret and work from blueprints and drawings Cut, shear, bend materials for customers and welders Utilize various hand tools and machinery, including press, brake, shears, cutting torches, forklifts, cranes, and calipers Assist welders with material orders and welding when needed Pick up supplies Deliver steel orders Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times

Requirements

Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Mechanical knowledge to understand machinery operations and maintenance needs. Familiarity with operating forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment is preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and schematics. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Valid Driver's License Be in good physical shape, handle heavy loads, hand eye coordination
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
