Wood Shop Laborer

(Guaranteed Full Time Hours)

At E.G. Penner Building Centres Ltd., a COR Certified supplier, we strive to be the premier building, home improvement and design centre in Southeastern Manitoba.

We are currently hiring a

Wood Shop Laborer

to join our Countertop Shop.

Key responsibilities:

Reading drawings, in order to assess the materials needed in fabricating countertops,

Cutting of countertops and application of finished ends.

Responsible for millwork items,

Receiving and unloading of products,

Shop care and cleanup;

and other duties as assigned.

This position requires standing, repetitive moderate-to-heavy lifting, operating forklifts and performing accurate measurements. You will be required to use a variety of light and heavy machinery to make necessary cuts and to assemble the fabricated components.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience working with hand tools, table saws and other fabricating tools.

Physically fit with the ability to lift repetitively.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with co-workers in a professional manner.
