used in mining and civil blasting operations. This is a hands-on role requiring mechanical aptitude, strong fabrication skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble structural components, tanks, piping, frames, and support systems for emulsion production plants.
Interpret and work from detailed fabrication drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
Perform MIG/TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
Install mechanical equipment including pumps, mixers, valves, conveyors, and instrumentation systems.
Conduct testing, alignment, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Assist with troubleshooting, modifications, and maintenance during commissioning phases.
Adhere strictly to site safety protocols and QA/QC standards.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments--whether in workshop or field settings.
Travel to site locations as required for plant installation and field works.
Skills & Qualifications:
Trade qualification as a
Welder, Fabricator, or Industrial Millwright
.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in heavy fabrication or mechanical assembly (experience in process plants or chemical handling environments preferred).
Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) and materials.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience installing pumps, piping, valves, and related systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, piping schematics, and welding blueprints.
Physically fit and capable of working in workshop and field conditions.
Valid Driver's License; ability to work FIFO or travel to remote sites if required.
Familiarity with pressure-rated piping, hazardous materials, or chemical environments is a strong asset.
