Fine Gold Resources is a precious metals mining company operating in the Yukon. We operate on a seasonal basis from March to October and are looking for qualified workers to join our dynamic team to run heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, conveyors, haul trucks, and wash plants.

We are preparing for the new season and are in search of Welder.

This position is best suited for individuals who enjoy working hard for half the year and playing hard for the rest of it. Typically, our employees work through the Yukon warmer months and travel south for the winter.

We provide accommodations and meals at our on-site camp and offer a highly competitive compensation package.

We operate with two shifts each day - day and night with a rotation schedule of 21 days on and 3 days off. During time off employees may stay on the site or venture to Dawson city for some time away.

Duties will include the following:

• Use welding equipment and techniques to join metal components, structures, or parts according to specifications and safety guidelines.
• Understand and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures to ensure accurate execution of welding tasks.
• Clean, grind, cut, and shape metal components or surfaces to prepare them for welding.
• Select appropriate welding equipment, such as gas or arc welding equipment, and set up machines, torches, and other tools necessary for the welding process.
• Inspect welded joints or structures visually and using non-destructive testing methods to ensure weld quality, integrity, and adherence to standards.
• Adhere to safety regulations, guidelines, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including completed work, materials used, and any quality or safety issues. Report any concerns or incidents to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as required.

• At least 3-5 years operational experience as a Welder, particularly in a mining or industrial setting strongly preferred.
• Possession of welding certifications or qualifications, such as Red Seal Welder certification or equivalent.
• Familiar maintenance of welding equipment.
• Physically fit to do manual labour and heavy lifting.
