Are you a certified welder that wants to work in a safe and innovative environment, without having to travel for work?

Reporting to the maintenance Superintendent, the welder repairs and/or fabricates mill process components and infrastructure as required. The welder is responsible for lay-out, fitting and fabricating metal components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, platforms, handrail, machine guarding and piping, using knowledge of welding techniques and metallurgy. Welding will be completed using gas, arc-air, MIG, TIG, and electrode as required.

What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For:

  • Certified Welder with a valid Interprovincial ticket;
  • Strong fabrication experience with demonstrated ability to repair large metal components and various infrastructure within a manufacturing environment;
  • Ability to read blueprints, interpret OEM supplied maintenance information, and work to mill standards is essential;
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • Commitment to working safely coupled with strong communication & interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision;
  • Experience with CMMS systems and JD Edwards;
  • Fabricator endorsement and millwright experience is considered an asset;
  • Previous experience in a forest products environment considered an asset.
