Production Supervisor - Weekend Shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

The Production Supervisor is responsible to ensure the consistent achievement of the production schedule, safely, efficiently, and within budget while ensuring the production of the highest quality products for our customers. The Supervisor will also oversee the daily activities of their Team Leaders and production personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Organize the daily operations and workflow by assigning responsibilities and allocating the appropriate assets and resources Provides regular coaching, performance feedback and effective training to staff for skill development, growth ad performance improvement Monitoring, checking, and approving the work of the assembly line workers ensuring that finished units are of quality workmanship in accordance with standards and specifications Follow up on internal requisitions to ensure the smooth flow of raw materials and fabricated components through the assembly line; communicates and works closely with the Director of Operations Plan and maintain staffing levels and shift schedules consistent with required output levels and budgets Provide employee performance feedback Participates in the recruiting process of new employees including interviews, hiring process and orientation Coach and develop employees to encourage and support a high-performance work culture Administer disciplinary action, as may be required Maintain 5S standards and ensure employees are performing tasks safely and in accordance with Airia policies and any applicable legislation Communicate and ensure the effective implementation and adherence to all Airia Policies Directly supervise staff and perform daily work audits, prepare regular inventory reports and analyses as required Monitor and maintain up to date computer records for payroll and serial number tally of units produced for inventory control Support colleagues and work in a team environment to support strategies Demonstrate continuous improvement in areas of responsibility by reducing process waste/NVA Recognize and solve problems affecting production including schedules, labour, waste and quality Manage budgets and ensure company goals are achieved Advises management of potential equipment or facilities concerns and/or failures which may directly affect quality, productivity, or safety Communicate with Order Desk and other Departments as required All other duties assigned

Qualifications:



Must have a thorough understanding of lean manufacturing, production processes and quality control Must have good reading, writing, computational, analytical and problem-solving skills in or order to discharge responsibilities efficiently and effectively Must be computer literate and have good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, ERP (Netsuite) other office equipment Must have good communication, interpersonal and management skills to be able to direct, manage, motivate and otherwise work effectively with others (i.e., staff, departmental managers); must be able to resolve operational and people problems in a courteous and discrete manner; must be tactful and use good judgement in dealing with people in general Excellent supervisory and organizational skills required in coordinating the operations required in the assembly line process Must be knowledgeable of proper safety standards and procedures and be proficient in the safe operation of machines and equipment Must be versatile and be able and willing to perform unrelated tasks as assigned Good interpersonal skills are required to communicate effectively and clearly in resolving problems, providing information and responding queries; must be friendly, polite and courteous Good organizational skills to plan and coordinate departmental activities to ensure that work is completed accurately and within deadlines Must be knowledgeable in all facets of the company's operations
