Job Description

We need a mechanically-inclined person who will be trained to be an installer of water treatment systems. You will install piping, water filters, softeners, flow meters, pumps and instrumentation in both residential (mainly pex) and municipal (mainly PVC) settings. Includes plumbing and mechanical, though training will be provided in instrumentation as well. Regular travel around the province required (around 25% of the time) as part of a 2-person team, all expenses paid. When not on a municipal job out of town, you will install residential systems on the Avalon. Plumbing or pipefitting training is an asset but not necessary. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is an asset. Being comfortable using hand tools, a mechanical aptitude, ability to work diligently with little supervision, and a willingness to learn are the main requirements. Online training for Culligan water treatment products, and on-the-job training for chlorination / chemical injection systems are provided. In addition to hourly wages, a cell phone allowance is paid; and a comprehensive health plan is fully paid for by the company. The job is full time but hours will be based on the work, and you will average 30-40 hours per week.
