High Purity Water Services Inc. is a successful, growing company seeking an experienced, self-starter Field Technician to support our high purity water systems and services business. We design, manufacture and install complete turnkey water systems including ultrapure distribution loops for the institutional marketplace. Our innovative designs incorporate equipment which are listed with Health Canada as licensed Medical Devices. The Technician will install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical high purity water systems at our customer facilities (life sciences, laboratory, healthcare, biotech, pharma, and advanced manufacturing). A successful candidate will have prior experience with water purification systems and equipment. The goal of the position is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Installations, plumbing fabrication, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

40 hour work week - OT for additional weekly hours

Product specific training is provided to employees

Double time for Sunday work

25% travel in Canada

Based out of Oakville, Ontario

Company Vans for site work

Hand tools required by employee, company provides all power tools and specialized equipment

Working at Heights, First Aid, WHMIS, Forklift License, Scissor Lift Certificate, are required to have before going to first project

CSA Work Boots required

Plumbing piping experience an asset

Electrical, PLC experience an asset

Responsibilities / Skills / Competencies:



Work under minimum technical direction from the Project Manager

Implement solutions to product problems in the field.

Apply basic metrology and use hand measuring instruments as required.

Apply close mental and visual attention to work.

Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance on clients' facilities.

Handle medium to heavy equipment intermittently.

Complete work within expected periods of time.

Communicate well with colleagues and the Project Manager

Work safely per internal safe operating practices and follows the customer's safety instructions.

Maintain installation truck appearance and orderliness and carry appropriate tools and general-purpose stock.

Complete installation records accurately, completely, and on time.

Perform quality fabrication on HPWS shop floor.

Install and troubleshoot Industrial and Commercial Softener/ Multi Media Tanks

Perform sanitization and chemical cleaning of Reverse Osmosis Units and Reservoirs.

Service and troubleshoot Commercial/ Health Science and Industrial Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Systems

Must have experience troubleshooting Pumps, Pressure switches / level switches

Identify proper materials and quantities for new and existing projects

Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition

Must be able and willing to work flexible shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency call-outs when assigned to on-call rotation schedule (1 week at a time).

Thorough knowledge of standard practices and terminology in the field

Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

Drivers License "G" required with clean driving record.

Compensation is based on experience.
