We are looking to welcome a warehouse team leader in our replenishment and goods receiving team.

In the IKEA world, we call this position a Goods Flow Team Leader.

Expected Starting Date: Discussed at interview

  • Living Wage Foundation Employer
39 hours working 5 days out of 7 and 2 out of 4 weekend.
Shifts are predominately from 11pm - 10am.

We offer a competitive salary with the addition of FLT allowance 1.50ph and night shift allowance of 2.25ph (between 10pm-6am).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

The ideal candidate will have a passion to inspire co-workers to achieve common goals. You should be hardworking and ready to go the extra mile to exceed our customer's expectations.

As a person you have good communication skills that can help to build relationships and networks with people across different functions within the unit. You can prioritise and take decisions as well as follow up and communicate progress. You will be someone who believes in the IKEA Concept, has IKEA Brand Identity and lives the IKEA culture & Values.
  • You have a keen interest and experience in retailing and logistics.
  • You are able to set expectations for others and provide clear direction, motivate and develop a team.
  • You have leadership experience within a logistics or retailing background.
  • Ability to follow up with and analyse KPI's
  • Previous warehouse and click & collect experience or retailing
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident in use of computers and mobile handheld electrical devices
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of the team and the larger function/store .
  • Experience in performance evaluations/Goal setting
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

Replenishment

This role will involve overseeing a team who transport the goods from our warehouse onto our shop floor in a fast paced environment before our store opens to customers.

Goods Receiving

This role will involve overseeing a team who work predominantly in the bay unloading the trucks from deliveries and putting the stock into the warehouse.

Day to Day
  • Planning, organising and monitoring the flow of goods within your area of responsibility in the store.
  • Working actively to improve productivity through efficient resource planning, including managing sickness leave, staff allocation, flexible working and efficient goods flow operations.
  • Providing input to your manager on logistics capacity requirements in your area of responsibility and the creation of a business plan and goods flow action plans.
  • Empowering your team of co-workers by delegating responsibility to help each person grow and develop, according to their individual ability and experience.
  • Every day on the shop floor, you lead by example; supporting and coaching co-workers.
