Job Description

Join an industry leader in heavy-duty truck parts sales and FIND YOUR DRIVE as a Warehouse Person at Parts for Trucks in Corner Brook. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the position requires a self-motivated, early starter with developed organization skills. We will train the perfect candidate in the processes of Parts of Trucks, however experience in inventory and warehouse procedures is preferred. This position will also assist the front counter staff as an apprentice to learn the role for a future career path inside the business. Details:

• Pick orders for customers and assist in general warehouse duties such as bin maintenance, stocking shelves and inventory counts.
• Assist shipping and receiving functions.
• Assist in keeping parts department clean & orderly.
• Promote and sell products to meet customer needs.
• Process customer sales and returns.
• Continuously improve parts and industry knowledge through research and training.

Requirements:

• Two years of similar experience and knowledge of warehouse practices preferred.
• Trained and experienced in operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift) preferred.
• Excellent customer service, communication and selling skills are valuable.
• Basic computer knowledge and experience with inventory control software is desirable.
• Knowledge of the automotive or heavy-duty truck industry helpful but not required.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures, including WHMIS and TDG.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds).
