Job Description
This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift /shovel loader for the unloading/loading of stock.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift/shovel loader and following safe work procedures Reporting safety hazards or production/quality issues immediately to the supervisor Operate forklift/shovel loader for unloading/loading building materials. Accurately count/report and maintain stock inventory levels Assist in the monitoring of customer delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery Perform routine quality checks and complete quality checklist reporting and correcting any non-conformance Follow Company policies and procedures Perform warehousing and merchandise handling tasks in all phases of operations.
Assist in loading and offloading trucks Other duties as assigned
Qualification & Requirements:
Ability to work on feet and carry objects weighing up to 80 lbs. Valid forklift certification or equivalent knowledge and experience operating a forklift; willing to be trained as (required) Valid Driver's License High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience Previous warehouse experience (preferred) Able to work a weekly shift rotations Climbing up and down stairs Bending and standing with weight Have the ability to work independently without constant direct supervision

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
