Role:

The Warehouse Technician, Driver (Class 3/DZ) has a dual role involving warehouse management, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) production, and making deliveries by driving a cube van, box truck or 5- ton truck. Responsibilities include handling all products in the warehouse by receiving, storing, assembling orders, inventory control, shipping, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The role also involves computer and ERP software use for proper documentation of inventory, orders, and customer data. Overall, the role demands versatility, combining physical warehouse work with day-trip deliveries, prioritizing safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

:

Warehouse Operations and Documentation:

Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments of industrial supplies and lubricants and record the information in the computerized inventory system. Prepare orders and shipping documents for delivery. Complete regular inventory counts and report any discrepancies. Safely utilize warehouse equipment such as Forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders etc. to facilitate order fulfillment. Maintain the warehouse for safety and proper function.

Delivery Services:

Safely operate a transit van, box truck or 5- ton truck, by driving to the various customer locations, unloading their orders, and obtaining a signature on the delivery slip to ensure proof of delivery if requested. Maintaining an accurate daily logbook using an Electronic Logging device (Motive), complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection check and report any concerns. Safely and efficiently deliver industrial supplies, bulk fluids and oil products by pumping the oil into the customer tanks following dispatched routes. Maintain a thorough understanding of and strictly adhere to the Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations to ensure the safe handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials. Complete and submit TDG documents, Bills of Lading, delivery tickets and trip summaries to the Dispatcher and immediate supervisor within hour of the end of each shift. Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies like breakdowns, spills, or bad weather. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and addressing customer concerns professionally.

Preparation of DEF product:

Adhere to all work instructions, safety protocols, and formula to produce DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid). Measure, combine, and mix ingredients to for DEF production.

IDEAL CANDIDATE



Location

: Must live in Montreal, Quebec, or other nearby areas.

Typical schedule

: On-site position. Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week (may require overtime based upon company requirements). 8-12 hours per day. Work schedule may require team member to take early morning, evening, or late-night shifts, on-call during weekends or for emergencies. Weekend or holiday work may also be necessary.

Travel Requirements:

50% travelling to complete deliveries.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

License and Certificatio

n: Valid Class 3 driver's license and clean drivers abstract required.

Physical Requirements

: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Physical endurance is necessary to handle long hours of driving and the physical demands of loading and unloading cargo.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in warehouse and truck driving preferred.

Technology:

Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and the use of a smart phone to conduct basic administrative tasks.

Additional Skills:

Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations. Computer literacy, ability to use a pallet jack, working proficiency in basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication), strong organizational and communication skills both verbal and written in French and English, capacity to multitask, physically agile and mentally alert, and able to work independently with a safety- first attitude.
