Duties and Responsibilities:

Unload and load orders using material handling equipment using ride-on power jack, forklift and reach truck. Pick orders as per instructions on P/S and/or B/L and achieve picking and packing productivity levels, with a goal of 100% accuracy. Verify incoming quantities against receiving documentation, report any variances in detail. Place products in designated locations in warehouse; or for change of storage locations within the warehouse, complete bin location tracking documents. Organize product storage areas for efficient storage, take direction and make recommendations for space capacity improvements with Supervisor. Read and understand P/S and/or B/L received from CSR or Supervisor. Verify picked quantities/items for accuracy, report variances to Supervisor Ensure GWP training is followed and advise Warehouse Supervisor of any potential food safety risks that may occur. Report all errors, missing or damaged product, any racking and equipment deficiencies and all safety incidents and safety hazards to Supervisor immediately.
Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

:

High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience with material handling equipment. Preference is given to candidates with at least 2 years of experience on forklift, ride-on power jack and reach truck. Experience using an RF Scanner is an asset. Class 5 Driver License with a clean driver abstract. High attention to detail and organization skills. Performing all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner.

Requirements:

This facility is accessible by Edmonton Transit System (ETS). However, it is preferred that the candidate can provide their own method of transportation to and from the facility daily. Required to wear personal protective equipment. Candidates will be required to have their own CSA approved steel-toed safety footwear. Physically able to perform all job functions of the position. The candidate must be able to frequently look over shoulders, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods at a time. Must be able to lift 50lbs repetitively.

Working Conditions:

The work setting is a warehouse environment and may require use of computers and other office equipment and machines. The candidate must be able to work outside as required and may be exposed to snow, rain, heat, dust, wind, noise, and uneven terrain. The candidate must be flexible in working variable hours. Inside conditions may include dust and noise.
