The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing the full scope of warehouse operations, from inbound receiving and inventory control to materials staging and outbound logistics. This role is critical for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining impeccable inventory accuracy, championing a culture of safety, and driving continuous improvement to support our production and fulfillment goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Optimize staging areas with 5S principles to reduce material retrieval time to an average of less than 5 minutes, preventing production delays.
Partner with the Production Planner and Inventory Manager to ensure a seamless and efficient flow of materials to the manufacturing line.
4. Inventory Control & Accuracy
Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy of over 99% through regular cycle counts, system audits, and physical/digital reconciliation in the ERP.
Identify and investigate inventory variances, collaborating with the Inventory Manager to implement effective corrective actions.
Contribute to strategic inventory goals, including reducing stockouts to less than 2% and achieving inventory turns of more than 8 times annually.
5. Warehouse Safety & Organization
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in strict compliance with 5S and OSHA (or local OH&S) standards.
Conduct daily equipment checks and hazard mitigation assessments to support a "zero incident" safety culture.
Align with the Operations Director on continuous safety improvements and initiatives within our manufacturing setting.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as picks per hour (>50), order accuracy (>99%), and space utilization (>85%) using ERP dashboards.
Champion lean initiatives and automation projects across receiving, shipping, and staging processes to drive efficiency gains of over 10% annually.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and implement process enhancements, such as advanced shipping notifications, to reduce material handling touches (<3 per item) and achieve cost reductions of over 15%.
